| Yeah, so I had my first RA interview today. Hello to that. I've done quite a few interviews in my day, but this was a bit odd. The interviewer had to pause me every once in a while to record what I said. The lady, I could tell, at first, really liked me and was kidding around, but then, about 2/3 into the interview, she had almost like a mental sugar drop and I wasn't that cute anymore. It could have jsut been my imagination, but I'm usually dead-on about these things.
Woah, I'm listening to Jimmy Eat World, and there was this one lyric that was jsut amzing in "Futures"- "what matters is what hasn't happened yet." That's an interesting thought...you could interpret it to mean that the good things in life are on their way, or that the things you think are such big deals now are going to look silly in retrospect. At least thoses are the two things it made me think of first.
But anyway, back to the RA interview: I did well, regardless of the slight spacey-ness of the interviewer. I had quality answers- I showed interest. And we did bond at the end talking about only children- (she had pictures of her daughter up, and I had mentioned that I worked well with people older than me because I was an only child.)
Guess what!? More chocolate- this time with mandarin, lemon, and chamomile. Yum yum! This is to cope with the fact that I have to read The Red Badge of Courage for my American Lit class. Oh, and Kim, The Lovely Bones is still in San Diego, and, of course, you may borrow it. Just give my mom a ring the next tiem you're in town!
M.A.P.P is going along quite nicely- last night David and I designed a flyer for the first interest meeting. I also filled out these forms very similiar to the ones for MCHS and getting rooms and such reserved. But, man oh man, the stuff here is so easy to get- and there are no cutodial fees! Yes to Universities! I am thinking about putting together a revovling slide show of Whitney's work and projecting the images onto this huge screen in the P.C. Ballroom- do you wnat to do that Whitney? Wouldn't that be slinkster cool? You could choose the works and everything- and then they would be displayed larger than life!
I am working on a secret Valentine's Day project for David- but, since he checks my xanga more than I do, I can't reveal any details. Remember when I wrote all about the 18 gifts for David's birthday last year? Thoses were good days- before David knew how to use a computer. Just teasing, Davidovitch! |
